On Broughton Street, where there’s a hundred stores and cafés, there is a little shop called The Paris Market and Brocante that caught my eye almost immediately when I walked down Broughton for the first time. Honestly the thing about it that caught my eye was the fact that Paris was in the name, and the presence of several small, Parisian-looking tables and chairs that sat on the outside of the building. Despite having never been to Paris, I absolutely adore the Parisian aesthetic, and I am dying to go. So, naturally, I wandered into the store and fell in love.

Pasteries galore!

Not only is it a Parisian café, with pastries, espresso, and whatnot, but it also has home decor, beauty essentials, and many books. There’s more like, coffee table or reference books, which are my absolute favorite. They have all kinds of French soaps and perfumes, and in the basement they have furniture, candles, cook books, etc. It is by far my favorite store that I visited in all of my time in Savannah.
I decided to buy a few things in my several trips there. First I bought a sticker with the stores logo, along with this French-milled honey soap, which is absurdly large and is probably a three inch by three inch large cube. I also bought a charming poster which, in French, describes and illustrates different breeds of poisonous fish. I cannot wait to go home and frame it.
