Homebound

The journey back home was kind of rough. I’ve always found that I have terrible luck with travel, especially when I am attempting to come back home. Because I flew with Allegiant, the cheapest of cheap airlines, I should have expected that things weren’t going to go smoothly- and with my luck, I should have definitely known. Our flight was initially delayed an hour, and we were given no reason why. Originally I thought it was because of a hurricane, however the hurricane was all the way in Alabama. Then it got delayed another hour, and then eventually another hour.

Heading home!

So, my flight was originally supposed to be at 3pm, but we didn’t take off until about 6:30pm. We found that the plane was delayed because of technical issues and maintenance, and then as soon as we were beginning to board, a thunderstorm started rolling in. I have never witnessed or been apart of such a hectic boarding process. People were yelling at each other to not skip the line so that we can board as quickly as possible. Luckily we did, the flight home was fine. Then, of course, there was the two hour drive back home from Cincinnati. We got in around 11:30pm. But, I got to sleep in my own bed.
