One day when it was literally too hot to even stand outside, I decided to do something that I typically wouldn’t do- I went on a trolley tour. I really don’t have anything against trolley tours, I just find experiences like that to be terribly touristy. No matter where I go, even if I have never been there before, I do not like appearing like a tourist or getting sucked into tourist traps. But when you don’t want to just sit in your hotel room and it is too hot to walk anywhere… might as well sit on a trolley for two hours and get in your daily exploring.
The tour really was very cool, for most of my trip I stayed within certain parts of Savannah because they were the easiest to get to and I was comfortable there. This trolley took me to areas I probably would have never gone because they were simply too far away. And gosh, it was informative. I learned so much about Savannah and the quirks and history behind it that I probably would have never found on my own.
We went to many places such as the Historical District, Welcome Center, and the other side of Forsyth Park. It’s really not too huge of a town, but it was a nice way of getting around on a hot day.
